1st day – ROME
Arrival at Rome airport, transfer by local train (tickets not included, to be purchased locally) to Rome Termini train station and transfer by taxi (not included, to be paid locally) to your hotel to check-in and leave your luggage. Alternatively, we can quote a private transfer from the airport to your hotel, please enquire.
On your first day in Rome, in order to have a general knowledge of the town, you will enjoy a tour by hop-on hop-off double decker bus. It is indeed the easiest way to discover the most famous sites of the Eternal city. Commentaries are held in English and you can get on and off wherever and whenever you wish, to visit each site at your own pace. Tickets last 24 hours from first validation.
Overnight stay in Rome.
2nd day – ROME, GRAND TASTING TOUR
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning enjoy our amazing grand tasting tour: experience a pleasant stroll through Rome’s enchanting squares and streets while tasting local food specialties and visiting the most typical grocery shops, markets and restaurants. Tour lasts 3 hours and a half and is available also in the afternoons (except on Sundays).
Overnight stay in Rome.
3rd day – ROME, COOKING CLASS IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning learn how to prepare a complete Italian meal with a fabulous gourmet experience far from the beaten paths. In a typical medieval little town of Roman countryside you will visit a farm or a local country market, depending on season, to pick up fresh ingredients for your menu. After the lesson, held by a professional chef who will teach you the secrets passed on by generations, you will have lunch based on the recipes prepared. Drinks are included. Tour lasts 7 hours and includes transportation.
Overnight stay in Rome.
4th day – ROME/SALERNO/SORRENTO
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning depart to Salerno by fast train (2 hours), pick up of your rented car and transfer to your hotel in Sorrento to leave luggage. Enjoy the day discovering at your own pace the lovely Amalfi Coast, including the little towns of Amalfi, Positano and Ravello and stopping at amazing panoramic points from which you will enjoy stunning views. Don’t forget to take as much pictures as possible! Overnight stay.
5th day – SORRENTO/LIMONCELLO PRODUCTION FACILITY
Breakfast at the hotel; depart to Amalfi by your rented car for an amazing visit to a Limoncello production facility. Limoncello is a typical liquer produced with genuine lemons grown exclusively in the Amalfi area. After a visit to the lemon ground, visitors will learn all the secrets of the growth and the production, followed by tasting and lunch. The meal will include lemon based recipes.
Overnight in Sorrento.
6th day – SORRENTO/ POMPEII/VESUVIO VOLCANO WITH WINE TASTING
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart by train to Pompeii excavation and meeting with our professional archaelogical guide for an interesting 2 hour tour of the ruins. Depart to Vesuvio volcano slopes, where you will have a memorable experience. After a welcome cocktail, you will have a pleasant stroll through the vineyards, where an expert sommelier will explain you all the secrets of local wines and their territory. At the end of the visit, lunch based on specialties of the area. Each course will be matched to its proper wine.
Return to Sorrento and overnight stay.
7th day – SORRENTO/CAPRI AND ANACAPRI
Breakfast at the hotel. Group tour to Capri and Anacapri; in the morning depart by fast ferry to Capri, symbol of the “Dolce Vita”. Guided tour of the island including Anacapri. Time at leisure for individual visits and shopping in all those elegant shops that made the island famous and exclusive in the years 50/60’s.
Overnight stay in Sorrento.
8th day – SORRENTO-COOKING CLASS
Breakfast at the hotel; in the morning cooking class to learn how to make the true Neapolitan Pizza. It will be great fun! Lunch based on the pizza previously prepared. The lesson might be held in the afternoon with dinner, according to availability at time of booking.
Afternoon at leisure and overnight stay in Sorrento.
9th day – DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by your rented car to Salerno train station. Drop off of your rented car. Train to Rome. End of our services.
